This case study is relevant to practitioners in all 21 states and D.C. where ERPO laws have been adopted. This case covers:


  • How ERPO can enhance the effectiveness of Brady Laws like Waiting Periods and Background Checks

  • Building partnership with family members of those in crisis.

  • The shortcomings of Mental Health interventions for preventing Gun Violence.

  • The value of a prevention approach vs an enforcement approach.
